Come to the Green Dragon
to the Rock and Roll Ball!
You can hear Maddi squeaking
you can hear Nat sing low,
you can hear Gemma plinking
at the John Symons Show.
Phil's guitar will be singing
Seths guitar will scream,
Alex will be technically perfect
Talbi will play like a dream.
Many more will be playing
and giving of their best,
banging, strumming and singing
with vigour, vim and zest.
If it gets too much for you
and you worry about your ears,
sneak off to the Mouse bar
and sink a few good beers.
You young uns will be shouting
and stamping for some more,
while people like my mother
will be sneaking out the door.
When all the squawking's over
and all the screechings done,
we'll have a £7.50 buffet
to get inside our tum.
Now if you think I've been harsh
to describe them as I do,
well praising them is your job
so cheering is down to you!
