Beach Speech

"Once more to the beach dear friends
once more to the beach,
and fill up the sands
with our English red.

In winter nothing
so becomes a man as
hot cocoa and
wooly bobble hats,

But when the first breath
of Spring blows in our hair
then imitate the action
of the salmon!

Dust off your surfboards,
pack up your trunks,
strap on your sandy
flip-flops.

Disguise fair skin with
oodles of fake tan.
Cover your eyes
with trendy shades.

Fill your car with petrol
check the oil and
On! On! You noble
holidaymakers!

take up your
bucket and spade,
and put them not
away till all is done!

Let the glint of
sun in your eyes
now shine sparkling
with anticipation.

Rev the car on the
driveway and race
off in pursuit of
beaches!

Follow your spirit
and cheerfully say
We're all going
on a summer holiday!"
