All My Own Work
I wandered lonely as a cloud,
as happy as can be,
Over daffodils, over dales
and down to the sunless sea.
I walked along the river Alph
sacred and serene,
stopped a passing wedding guest,
to stay and talk with me.
The wedding guest stood still,
transfixed by a terrible sight,
Beside me on the riverbank
a tiger, burning bright!
The wedding guest took out his sword
and made ready to attack,
One, two! One, two! and through and through
His sword went snicker-snack!
For you have killed the burning tiger
in only a minutes run,
So stand you with the heros
for you are a man my son.
